Societies do need electrical and fire audit, though Municipal corporation have not made it mandatory as per Factory act. But it is in the interest of the Society to get all the points checked to confirm any overheating or short circuit or earthing leaks.

Most societies face the problem of having multiple quotations with multiple solutions received by various Civil painting contractors. This actually confuses the managing committee to understand, which one to consider. Structural audit is performed by licensed structural engineers. This ensures that the estimate provided shall be within the bracket of 5% to 7% deviation only. Structural audit is used to identity distress, condition of the housing, commercial, Hospitals, School, Entertainment malls and any other buildings with proper estimation for the kind of repairs to be undertaken by the society. Various methodologies can be asked in the structural audit report with different rates, advantages and disadvantages.
ARE THE CHARGES FOR THE STRUCTURAL AUDIT REPORT SAME FOR ALL CONSULTANT AND COMPANIES?
Being a service industry, there are no fixed charges for structural audit. However, reputed companies shall be approached as this is the basic report based on which, the entire civil repair restoration works planning is dependent on. The validity of such reports are normally 6 months. These reports define the scope of work for building civil maintenance. So, during the work in progress, escalations can be avoided by restricting unnecessary breaking and redoing. The importance of structural audit being carried by reputed consultants like Us, gives a piece of mind for the managing and repair committees. The charges for residential, commercial, Schools, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, Entertainment, industrial structural audit shall be different, as the elevations, requirements, detailing and approach is totally different for different structures. The only importance factor is to see to it that the consultant is approved licensed structural engineer of BMC (MCGM), TMC, NMMC, KDMC, MBMC, PMC Municipal Corporation.
